Deciding a favorite character, for me, is a near impossible task. Even narrowing my list into a "top ten" format is a daunting challenge- that said, as of recent years there is a character that has captured my attention and entered the ranks of my all-time favorite characters: Susie Deltarune.
Through the five current chapters of Deltarune, Susie has gone through dramatic character change and growth. Chapter One sees Susie as a crude, violent, mean-spirited delinquent with no respect for her classmates or, later, team members. She acts out against anyone in her path, leaving the other two protagonists, Kris and Ralsei, to clean up her mess. Despite the team's continued efforts to support and guide Susie, she temporarily allies with the villains finding it to be easier and more aligned with her nature. It is only after the continued efforts of her teammates that she begins her redemption arc.
Through the proceeding chapters, Susie is able to become vulnerable with her peers and develop a true friendship and comradery with Kris and Ralsei. She begins to truly value their bonds and makes a genuine effort to be a true team player. In Chapter Four, she is finally able to build confidence under the guidance of Gerson who helps Susie understand her potential.

(Extra content because I love to talk....)
Susie's violence stems from a lack of self-esteem stemming from her upbringing and predetermined role in society. While her classmates already view her as an irredeemable bully, Kris is willing to overlook their history and Ralsei sees past her rocky exterior.
Her early personality is reflected in her outfit, with a dark color scheme and visible spikes adorning her wrists and neck. Her eyes are veiled in shadow, alluding to her lack of self-identity.
That said, purple is a color associated with ambition and transformation which can be associated with her character's arc. Her eyes also become visible in moments of vulnerability and development, most notably in scenes with her to-be mentor Gerson.
Susie's arc persists of overcoming expectations and redirecting her anger towards justice. Through the help of her friends and mentor, she is able to work through her insecurities and hone her battle prowess for good.
Her character, even as of Chapter Four, is still extremely flawed- she lashes out against her team, strangers, and herself. She still acts recklessly and, at times, irresponsibly. However, she is making a true effort to improve herself and be the hero that she is prophesized to be. *

I could ramble on and on about Susie's growth, but this covers the general overview. Susie is a fantastic character with nuance and understandable flaws that make her relatable and beloved by a broad audience. She is, undoubtedly, a fantastic character.
(* This is assuming that the prophecy is actually about her which is debatable...)
